The Songwriting Community is a modern blend of three components: 1) A Discussion Forum, 2) A Social Network, and 3) A Learning Portal. All three components combine to provide new and seasoned songwriters with an experience designed to help you develop your songwriting craft and build relationships with other writers and music business professionals in our community.

Yes, The Songwriting Community is designed to encourage interaction and networking with other songwriters. That’s why we’ve built it with the best of both worlds – a social network where you can quickly express your thoughts and reach out and get to know other members and a discussion forum where you can easily find and deep dive into a particular topic or get and give feedback on your original songs. There are many different communities for songwriters out there. Many try to be the next Facebook for songwriters or are limited to outdated forums that lack engagement or visual appeal. We understand the value of both formats, which is why we’ve combined them here in The Songwriting Community. In addition, we’ve added weekly online SongGroups events where you can get song feedback, pitch your songs to music industry professionals, and network with other songwriters.
Yes, all members of The Songwriting Community must accept and agree to our Terms and Use, Privacy Policy, and Forum & Learning Portal User Agreement policies.
The best place in The Songwriting Community to get feedback on your songs is the Discussion Forum. Discussion forums, in general, are the ideal format for viewing, keeping track of, and participating in lengthy discussions about your original songs. Because of the continuous newsfeed often found in traditional social networks, discussion posts can often get lost and are difficult to keep track of.
When creating a post on our discussion forum asking for song feedback, we recommend posting it in the Get Feedback section using any of the following methods.

The Songwriting Community is open to any aspiring or professional songwriter who wants to develop their craft, is open-minded to learning about new songwriting trends, techniques, and technology, and desires to meet and network with other like-minded songwriters. We strive to create and maintain a positive environment and do not tolerate any negative behavior by members that promotes anything otherwise.
We host Songwriters Challenges throughout the year, where songwriters can learn, practice, and sharpen their songwriting skills in a variety of areas. These including lyric writing, creating memorable melodies, developing as a topliner, marketing your music, and using AI as a tool in your songwriting business.
